Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. Take to heart these words that I give you today. Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you’re at home or away, when you lie down or get up. Write them down, and tie them around your wrist, and wear them as headbands as a reminder. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
In case you do not know this already, there are wonderful wonderful children in our church and community. I am in awe of their knowledge and their minds. My wish for you is that you can see them as I do. Not as a parent, not as a neighbor, not even as a grandmother. Rather I see these children by their faith. A faith that is only as good as those who teach it.
I bring you an invitation to view this with new eyes. Please consider volunteering for Summer Sunday School and/or Day Camp.
Day Camp is June 24-28, with a trip to Crestfield on the Wednesday. This is an opportunity to see the Spirit moving in rapid succession. Be there as we have a concentrated learning experience that submerges the children into the faith and offers opportunities for them to plug in. How can you be a part? There is a doodle poll with categories here or on the desk in the narthex.
Summer Sunday School is an awesome opportunity to see faith grow, gradually, fast, sometimes both in the same child. I invite you to go on a faith journey with these children and see faith through their eyes. I guarantee you, it will change your own faith in the most amazing ways. How can you sign up? There is a doodle poll with dates here or on the desk in the narthex.
Believe me when I tell you this is not an opportunity to pass up! Even if you can only commit to one day, that’s one day that you can experience this tangible act of the Spirit.
