Family Advent Wreath & Calendar - Sunday, November 27 The advent wreath is a symbol of waiting and watching, and a reminder of the great joy ahead. We light one candle each Sunday of Advent. A family wreath and calendar help to mark the season and refocus on the heart of Christmas, the light of the world and the fulfillment of the promise of God's great love for you. During the "Deck the Halls" on the first Sunday of Advent there will be candles and supplies to make a family Advent wreath. You can take it home to use that evening around your dinner table. We will also have an Advent calendar for children to take home and open one window each day of December. Stop by, take home supplies or stay and create your wreath. Start traditions, make memories, create family time in this season of the family of God.
SALVATION ARMY ANGEL TREE The "Treasures for Children" tags hang from the branches of our Salvation Army Angel Tree in the Narthex. This gives us the opportunity to buy gifts for children, for delivery through the Salvation Army. For each tag you take, please sign the sheet alongside the tree with your name, phone number, and the name of the child from the tag. The unwrapped gifts, with tags attached, can be returned on any Sunday through December 4. If you have any questions, please contact Jody Jackson (412-364-8573). The Outreach Committee, Salvation Army, and children thank you for your generosity!
It's that time of year again....COOKIE TIME When the Advent team asks that the congregation and friends of the congregation are asked to get out their favorite cookie recipes and make . . . Please take a tin and bring back your cookies and place them in the kitchen at your convenience. Thank You!
