FOOD COLLECTIONS FOR HOLY FAMILY STUDENTS
As part of our outreach partnership and support with Holy Family Institute's Specialized Learning Program, we are providing food items to send home with students each Friday. The program is coordinated by the school's guidance counselor and is targeted at providing some nutritious, easy-to-prepare food for children who experience hunger or food insecurity. Please consider donating food or funds to support this mission. Information is on display in the church narthex, or contact Deb Sadowski at firstname.lastname@example.org or 724-719-0144. We will be collecting through the end of May.
HEARTH "April Shower"
This year HEARTH is asking for donations of household cleaning products. "April Shower" umbrellas are on a board in the Narthex indicating various items needed. When you take an umbrella, please be sure to write your name alongside that particular item on the sign-up list. Purchase your item and bring it to the church before the collection.
In June, on Faith in Action Sunday we will sew Dignity Robes.
But first we need to cut them out.
We will hold our Fourth Annual "Cut Up" session on
Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from 4 to 6:30 PM
Just bring scissors an dpins if you have them, patterns and fabric will be available.
AND THEN we will go to supper! Mia Madre is open on California Avenue in Avalon.
Please send your YESSES for cutting and/or supper to Gail Buchanan at email@example.com or call 412-734-2050.
HOME STAY FAMILIES NEEDED
Experience a different culture from your very own home! Holy Family International College Preparatory Program is looking for a Home Stay Family to host one of their male Sewickley Academy students from China to live in their homes during the 2017-2018 school year. The student is looking for the opportunity to experience life with an American family. He will be a sophomore in the 2017-2018 school year.
