PITTSBURGH BOTANIC GARDEN
WEDNESDAY AUGUST 29, 2018
Our trip to Pittsburgh Botanic Garden, Oakdale, off the Parkway West, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, August 29. Our private tour begins at 11 a.m. for about 45-60 minutes. It is a 'limited ability tour' which includes the homestead site, the dogwood meadow and the Asian pond - all with some bench seating. Our volunteer tour guide is retired pastor John Free, an old friend of Jean Henderson's. Fee is $10.00 per person, payable to registrar Jean Henderson. We can take 15-20 on the tour. We have a few spots remaining. If you are interested, please contact Jean at firstname.lastname@example.org. Wear comfortable walking shoes. We will meet at the church parking lot at 10 a.m. if you wish to carpool. Otherwise, meet at the PBG visitors center. Those who wish to have lunch together will go to a nearby restaurant (TBD) after the tour. The Botanic Garden is 60 acres; on this tour we will see just a bit. Check out their great website!
