FIRST SUNDAY OF ADVENT Deck the Halls Sunday, November 27 at 11:30 AM Light Lunch in Fellowship Hall Children will have the opportunity to create decorations for the Narthex Meanwhile, others will begin decorating the top branches of the Narthex tree and Families can make Advent candle wreaths or pick up supplies for home to create their own. All to the beautiful sounds of Christmas music
SALVATION ARMY ANGEL TREE The “Treasures for Children” tags hang from the branches of our Salvation Army Angel Tree in the Narthex. This gives us the opportunity to buy gifts for children, for delivery through the Salvation Army. For each tag you take, please sign the sheet alongside the tree with your name, phone number, and the name of the child from the tag. The unwrapped gifts, with tags attached, can be returned on any Sunday through December 4. If you have any questions, please contact Jody Jackson (412-364-8573). Thanksgiving Meal - Sunday, November 20 - Following Worship In Fellowship Hall The Invitation is open to everyone! Members, non members, guests and visitors! Early in November, the Fellowship Committee will be contacting members and friends of CPCBA to help provide some of the items needed for this event. You will get to choose from a variety of items, anything from cranberries, bread, butter to dessert or a turkey/chicken casserole. If cooking isn’t your thing, maybe you would enjoy meeting some super Fellowship members while serving or helping the clean up crew. We work hard, but we have fun! Thank You in Advance! TURKEY TREE The Deacons would like to thank all of you who have taken turkeys and envelopes from the Turkey Tree in the Narthex. Thank you so much! Please return your food items, gift certificates, and cash by Sunday November 13. Food items may be placed under the tree, and cash donations may be placed in the collection plate - in the envelopes provided. Your generosity is appreciated. The Deacons will be assembling the baskets later that week for delivery on Monday, November 21.
