There are many opportunities to grow, learn and contribute at Community Church of Ben Avon.
Volunteer
From serving dinner at the men's shelter to junior high and high school mission trips, opportunities abound to roll up your sleeves and help out.
Music
Community Church's music program includes our chancel choir, children's choir and bell choir. Talk to Tim Heavener or any of our choir members to learn how you can share your talents.
Youth
We have youth group, Sunday school, summer mission trips, weekend retreats and more. We welcome all youth, and if you are young at heart please roll up your sleeves and help us organize and lead events!
Worship
We welcome all to worship services throughout the church year, from our Sunday morning service to Wednesday evening services throughout Lent and many other opportunities throughout the church year. In addition, we seek lay readers, ushers on a regular basis. We also need a child every Sunday morning to light the candles.
Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministers are congregation members who have gone through 50 hours of training to provide one-to-one, Christ-centered care. Each Stephen Minister is matched with a hurting person and meets with them weekly to listen, care, pray and encourage.
Deacons
The deacons of the church visit shut-ins, provide transportation for some otherwise unable to get to services, and provide meals for those in temporary need of help during times of illness or need.
Media Team
We're always in need of folks to help with all aspects of communications. This group sets up and shares sound, video streaming, and photographs of services/events and manages CPCBA’s online outreach and engagement.
