Standing on Top of the World

Day 2 in the Holy Land began in Cana, where Jesus performed his first miracle in turning water to wine. We learned that people flock to Cana to try to buy some local wine; however, Cana does not have any vineyards and never has. I guess it really was a miracle for Jesus to make wine in Cana!

We took a hike to the top of Mount Precipice and took in a spectaclular view of the Jezreel Valley—full of history and beauty. This is the cliff they tried to throw Jesus off for claiming to be the Messiah, but as the Bible says, “he passed through the midst of them and went away” (Luke 4:29-30). As you can see from the picture, we all enjoyed the warm sunshine!  We will try to pack up some warm weather and bring it back to Pittsburgh...assuming that they don’t lose our bags again!
